Forest Acres is here to serve. Under the supervision of the City Administrator, the Administration Department of the City of Forest Acres manages the business, financial and human resource affairs of the city and implements policy directives of the City Council. A Finance Director accounts for the use of city funds, including payroll, investments, and account payables and receivables.
The Building and Planning Department provides for permitting and inspection of new construction, collection of construction related fees, code enforcement, and collection of business licenses and hospitality tax revenue. See forms for download.
The Police Department is under the general supervision of the Chief of Police and provides law enforcement of state and local laws. The police department maintains 24-hour protection within the corporate limits of Forest Acres, and provides patrol, investigations, communications, crime prevention and victim’s services.
